Burj Azizi: Dubai’s new landmark set to soar at 725 metres
Azizi Developments launches global sales for world’s second-tallest tower tomorrow

DUBAI: Azizi Developments has announced the global sales launch of Burj Azizi, a towering 725-metre skyscraper set to become the world’s second-tallest building upon completion in 2028.
Positioned on Sheikh Zayed Road, the 131-plus-storey marvel will offer residential, hospitality, retail, and entertainment spaces, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a hub for architectural innovation.
The launch event takes place today at Coca-Cola Arena, with more than 15,000 guests, including business leaders, investors, government officials, and international pop icon Jennifer Lopez.
Sales across seven global cities
On February 19, sales will commence simultaneously in Dubai (Conrad Hotel), Hong Kong (The Peninsula), London (The Dorchester), Mumbai (JW Marriott Juhu), Singapore (Marina Bay Sands), Sydney (Four Seasons Hotel), and Tokyo (Palace Hotel).
The price of luxury apartments in Burj Azizi will start from Dh7.5 million, with ultra-luxury units priced at Dh34,000 per square foot. The most expensive residences will reach Dh156 million.
Farhad Azizi, CEO of Azizi Group, confirmed that the building’s height had received full approval from Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Dubai Municipality, ensuring that the 725-metre figure will remain unchanged.
Luxury, records, and architectural feats
Burj Azizi is designed to house one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, ultra-luxury penthouses, and an exclusive seven-star hotel. Inspired by seven cultural themes – Arabic, Chinese, Persian, Indian, Turkish, French, and Russian – the hotel will redefine luxury hospitality.
The tower will also feature:
- The world’s highest observation deck (Level 130)
- The highest hotel lobby (Level 111)
- The highest nightclub (Level 126)
- The highest restaurant (Level 122)
- The highest hotel room (Level 118)
A museum at the pinnacle of the tower will document its evolution, showcasing photos, videos, and multimedia exhibits celebrating the personalities and engineers behind its construction.
Every 20 floors of residences will have a dedicated amenity level, featuring:
- Swimming pools, sauna, and steam rooms
- A fully equipped gym and yoga centre
- A luxury spa and wellness centre
- Games rooms with billiards, chess, and ping-pong
- A cinema, business centre, kids’ play area, and a gourmet restaurant
The retail podium will house a high-end shopping mall, featuring luxury brands and exclusive boutiques.
A historic project in Dubai’s skyline
Dubai is already home to 33 skyscrapers taller than 300 metres, the highest concentration in the world. The Burj Khalifa (828m) remains the world’s tallest, while Burj Azizi will surpass Merdeka 118 in Kuala Lumpur (678.9m) and Shanghai Tower (632m) to secure its place as the second tallest globally.
The tower’s construction presents a unique challenge due to its narrow plot on Sheikh Zayed Road, requiring innovative engineering solutions to handle vertical circulation, wind loads, and high-rise logistics. The developer has partnered with Kone to design advanced elevator systems for seamless access across the tower’s extensive vertical expanse.
Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments, expressed pride in the project, calling it a “once-in-a-generation” landmark that reflects Dubai’s architectural and economic ambition.
“Burj Azizi is not just a structure; it is a tribute to the emirate’s ever-growing prominence on the global stage,” he said.
With Dubai’s real estate market hitting record-breaking highs – totalling 180,987 transactions worth Dh522.5 billion in 2024, according to Property Finder – the project is set to capitalise on the city’s surging demand for ultra-luxury properties.
